This is Katy,
She is the person behind Leo & Bib.
Katy commissioned me to do a commercial shoot for her because she has two magazines who currently want to run features on her and her work.
Her cards and collages are really lovely, so creative, the detail that goes into them is amazing, and I have a little stash of postcards that I send out to friends for birthdays and other occasions.
She describes herself as freelance paper artist from Somerset, using a combination of paper cutting, illustration and collage. She likes to use old books, vintage paper and old magazines and newspapers to create her designs.

Nathan actually came to see me because he wanted a passport photograph done. (yes i do passport photos as well).
But I actually wanted to try out a new technique for head shots so I persuaded him to pose for me and happily he obliged.
Honestly he was happy, look at his little smiley face.

Victoria, who owns and runs The Keepsake Company needed some new social media head shots to advertise herself and her business, so she booked in a wee while ago and we had a lot of fun.
Can you tell we had a lot of fun from these photographs?
She had lots of ideas and so did I, and together we worked through them all and acted out lots of different scenarios that she could then use in her advertising campaigns.

Jarrod and Barry who are totally gorgeous (and give my website a little touch of class), came along to my social media portrait evening no 2 which I did towards the end of last year.
They were so gorgeous that I had to put them up as a blog post all on their own just so I can easily come back and look at them again and again and again.
I hope they are now using at least one of these photos as their social media profile photos, in fact I think i’ll go and check.

This is evidence of just how rubbish I am at blogging about my work! These photographs were taken in June 2013, yes June! And it’s now January 2014 and I’m only now getting around to blogging about them.
Yes I am officially rubbish, and should probably fail ‘social media school’ but hey on the plus side i’m now going to pop lots of strange random photos up on my website for my own enjoyment.
I will try to be better in the future and blog slightly quicker, but i guess the odds are against me because hey, i’m busy, but rest assured that’s no reflection on my photography or my ability to deliver you, your photographs.
I actually kind of love all of these photographs and wish they were of me and my family but they are not, they are of Trina and her gorgeous family.
All that long grass is actually their garden! Wish that was mine too.
I do actually have quite a big garden, but it doesn’t quite look like that, all picturesque and blossom and sunlight falling through the trees.
This shoot was done on a beautiful summers day when the sun was shining big time and it was hot and the small children were happy, oh and one of the small children fell off a wall but he was fine and the panic was over and he kept on smiling, thank goodness.`
** disclaimer – the small child falling off a wall was in no way my fault**
Anyway though, Trina ordered some framed prints and I so wanted to keep them all to myself too, but alas I did actually have to hand them over to her in the end.

Hopefully with permission i’ll be popping a few photographs up here shortly, but first to work a teeny tiny little bit of magic on them.

A little while ago i held an evening where people could come and have a glass of wine and eat a few crisps whilst they plucked up the courage to let me take a few photographs of them so that they could then use one of them as their ‘social media profile pic’.
Everyone said it was a really fun evening and that it really wasn’t as bad as they thought it might be, which is great.
I know i had fun taking the photographs and asking them to pose and making them giggle.
Here are a few shots to start off with, but i’ll be adding more.
