Dorothy House turned 40 in September last year. (https://www.dorothyhouse.org.uk)
To celebrate this event they had a thanksgiving service in Bath Abbey and I was asked to photograph this thanksgiving service.
A lady called Pru Dufour started the Hospice in 1976, and the service gave thanks to her as well as allowing the opportunity to reflect on the work of the Hospice, the patients, their families and carers that have been touched by the hospice’s care over the last 40 years.
The service featured a piece of music composed and gifted to Dorothy House for the occasion by singer, composer and conductor of the Cantilena county choir, Tim Parker (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFNJYrzBnIE). There were also many other highlights during the evening of fantastic music and singing.
